Hello Everyone!! As families and band directors around Central Ohio are making plans for the 2024-2025 school year, I wanted to give preliminary information regarding Capital University Junior Winds. 

Junior Winds is an upper level ensemble for all band instruments. Students entering grades 8, 9 and 10 are eligible to audition for this ensemble. Here is what students will need to prepare for their Junior Winds audition:

1. Technical (fast) piece of music that demonstrates their technical ability on their instrument.
2. Lyrical (slow) piece of music that demonstrates their lyrical ability on their instrument.
3. Memorize the following major scales (Concert Key): B flat, E, flat, A flat, F and C.
4. Sight Reading will also be included in the audition.

WHEN and WHERE will auditions for the 2024-2025 season of Junior Winds take place?
Live auditions will take place in Mid- late June. Location is TBA.
